The Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8 Advantage
Hey, Wayne Sharer here, and you’re reading my uncensored review of what I really thought about Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8.

Why am I writing this? Well, when I was thinking of buying Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8, there wasn’t many real reviews around.
So, I thought I’d do a quick write-up to help any of you who are in the same position I was.
But be warned, I’ll be going into the good and the bad points of Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8, so if that’s not something you want to read, you might may as well leave now.
My first impressions of Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8:
Thesis Worpress Theme 1.8 advertises itself as a premium WordPress theme. Being a flagrant buyer of everything impressing me for blogging, I eagerly awaited the delivery of my new premium WordPress theme.
My initial impression was Thesis WordPress Theme may not be as good as I thought. However, I rarely go by my initial impressions.
I thought this because I couldn’t immediately get my header and footer the way I wanted them to look. Fortunately, things changed as I spent just a few minutes inside. Hopefully you aren’t as impatient as I when checking out a new program or product. It always pays to dig in a little closer…
…and read some of the instructions or view the setup videos.
What Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8 has helped me achieve:
I’ll jump ahead a little, and let you know up front Thesis WordPress Theme let me achieve the clear, crisp look and feel I was after for my blog.
I wanted a premium WordPress theme to make customizing the blog easy, and to ensure I could always keep a unique look for my personal image. I needed this to be relatively easy…
… easy, that is, for me. I can’t really judge what is easy for you.
It also allows me to eliminate the need for SEO plug-ins like AllinOneSEO, or other similar plug-ins, because this is all built into the theme. I do really like this.
All in all, I was able to build the blog theme I wanted, make it look the way I desired, keep it sharp, easy to read, and have highly optimized for the search engines.
What I find most useful about Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8:
The 5 best things I found in this premium WordPress theme are:
- It is fully customizable without limits
- It is better configured for SEO than any theme I’ve used
- It makes adding images and videos a breeze
- It can be changed instantly… literally.
- Thesies WordPress Theme has an excellent support forum
Who would benefit from purchasing Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8:
This is one premium WordPress theme which is, no kidding, good for both the new blog owner, and an experienced blogger.
Typically you are likely to find free themes are best for the new bloggers, and you then graduate to a premium theme. I really don’t ever recommend free themes, they are always limited in what you can do…
Nonetheless, Thesis WordPress theme is one premium WordPress theme I recommend for any blogger.
If you want to start your blog with commitment, starting with a premium WordPress theme is really a must. The Thesis theme makes it easy for you.
The single site license is perfect if you want to just get the feel for blogging and wait until you expand into more websites.
The developer license is primo for anyone using multiple blogs. This includes blogging for…
- Affiliate marketers
- Authority bloggers
- Auto-bloggers
- Literally any blogger, it’s so versatile, it can’t fail you.
What I think was left out of Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8:
I’m not a coder, and I don’t know if this is possible, yet some things could be a little simpler or maybe built in…
It is a little confusing on how to customize your header. The forum had the answer, but it’s certainly not intuitive
It’s also confusing on how to set your footer or put widgets in your footer. The solution is in the forum. Once again, it would be nice if this were easier to do.
Background settings aren’t completely intuitive either. The instructions are provided, yet a simpler, built in method would sure be nice.
Again, maybe these things would screw up the code which makes the them so search engine friendly, so I really wouldn’t give up the SEO features for these things. It just would be nice if it’s possible.
How quickly Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8 can help someone:
The Thesis WordPress Theme took me about an hour to install. It could be configured on a test blog, then imported into the real blog when everything was in place.
I liked this a lot.
You can do the same thing for updates to your theme. This really helps you to not have any stumbling blocks when you go to change your theme look. You can have it done offline, and then import it. This is really great.
So, as far as installing with a custom look, you can do it in an hour or less if you have all your images, and plug-ins in place. This sweet!

Negatives about Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8:
The biggest negative for me is the amount of coding needed for manipulating the headers and the footers, as well as to change the backgrounds.
This could be a real problem for people who aren’t as adventurous as me when it comes to figuring out how to put code in the right place.
Even though the video training provided, and the forum cover just about everything, I know you may be one of those people where doing anything with code drives you nuts.
If you are one of those people, and you don’t have a coder or someone to do this for you, then don’t get Thesis, it’s that simple.
My final words about Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8:
If handling a little coding that is really just given to you is o.k. with you like it is with me, then you definitely will be happy with the results you get with this premium WordPress theme.
Thesis WordPress Theme 1.8 has jumped to the top of my list, along with the DreamTheme, as a premium WordPress theme you should use if you are serious about having a professional look that people and search engines love.
